Zero Hunger Problem and solution

World hunger is a major problem. We are trying to reach the global goal of zero hunger by 2030. There are many problems causing world hunger, but, there are also solutions that can help.

Poverty is actually a huge problem that is not helping zero hunger.

An effect of poverty is little or no money which means scarce food. There are so many people that are in poverty, in 2013 it was estimated that 767 million people were living below the international poverty line living on $1.90 if they were lucky. We can help this problem by donating food to charities that give food to the homeless. Also if people could provide food for themselves sustainably that would be a very powerful solution.

Weak economies and conflict in areas are both a problem in world hunger. Food insecurity has cost a lot of money. In 2010 $19.20 billion was lost because of food insecurity, charities, doctor visits because of illness from hunger etc. This makes economies very weak which leads to less food and money for people. Up to 40% of the food in the United states goes uneaten, and food is very expensive so when you waste food that you could have saved or donated it is also wasting your money. You can help that by not wasting your food and donating extra food. Conflict (wars, crime or any violence) can make prices go up, and in time of conflict there could be less money. Over half of the people facing hunger live in countries affected by conflict. A solution is to give more people access to credit cards. It will be easier for people to get money to; buy food, fight poverty and much more.

As you can see there are a lot of problems with world hunger that could use help to solve. Like conflict, poverty, and weak economies are some examples mentioned before. Sustainable food, donations and access to credit and much more could make the world a better place.
